Fall in Colorado is truly like nothing else, and it was an honor to join fellow creatives Brian, Melina, and their family for a portrait session along the North Fork River in Paonia, Colorado on one of the most gorgeous of autumn days. We adopted a slow pace, taking time to notice the golden light, the changing colors, and the crisp leaves beneath our feet. I’ve always appreciated fall as a time of transition—the closing of one distinct season before turning to the next—but each fall day has discrete magic of its own. Much like the rapidly changing childhood years, fall tends to be gone before we know it, making it especially meaningful to be able to capture Brian and Melina’s family in such a beautiful season and moment in time.
