I believe family heirlooms, pieces of jewelry, an old book, even an antique piece of furniture carries on a connection of love to the next person or family.

When Rocky Mountain Bride and I started collaborating on a styled shoot last summer, I knew just the place and vision to recreate this feeling. I partnered with Nature’s Grace Design to bring together some of my favorite touches on a wedding day. Classic designs mixed with touches reminiscent of another time and place. Our bride wore a one of a kind antique wedding dress from the 1920’s, including pearls passed down through each generation as a wedding gift.

Nature’s Grace wanted to bring in mountain spring colors to inspire. We chose old lanterns as table decor and antique plates to match the palette of the day. Blue, peach and golden hues helped the images come alive, just like the mountains do in spring.

Each part of this shoot was curated from a place of history and meaning, as each wedding day should be created in the same manner! A wedding is about the family celebration through and through, and it was fun to incorporate so many family heirlooms in this collaboration. Thank you to Rocky Mountain Bride for featuring it in print this summer!
